Visiting any church for the very first time can make anyone a little nervous. Where do I go? What do I wear? What time do I show up? What’s here for my kids? What can I expect? These and many more questions can come to your mind. Well, we want to put you at ease. Your first visit to Unity Baptist Church will be refreshing, friendly, and enjoyable for your whole family. We want you to experience inspiring music, helpful teaching and preaching, friendly people, and a place where you feel welcome and “at home!” Here are a few answers to your questions about what you might expect on your first visit.

Will the roof fall in?
Absolutely not. In fact, several visitors said this was going to happen when they came, but we are happy to report that the roof is still standing strong! If you are still concerned about this happening, just call ahead to warn us so we can clear out the building before you enter!

What should I wear?
There is not a dress code at Unity Baptist Church for members or guests. Our pastor and most of our church family dress in more casual dress; however, a specific attire is not required, and our members wear a variety of styles of clothing from “Sunday best” to bluejeans. We think it makes sense to wear nice, clean, modest clothing to church. As long as you do that you will not feel out of place.

Do you have child care?
Yes. Child care is provided during worship services for children 4 years of age and under.

What are your services like?
Our services are what is commonly called “blended”. The worship music primarily is a blend between great hymns of the faith and many of todays popular praise songs. We do have special music from members of the congregation and our choir regularly.  Words to all congregational songs are displayed on a large screen for all to see.  The focus of all of our meetings is the Word of God.  Generally, we will have several songs, meet & greet, prayer, an offering, and then a message from the Bible.

Am I expected to participate in the offering?
No. We don’t invite you to Unity Baptist Church for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God’s Word, and a place where you can grow in God’s grace. Please feel NO obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.

Do visitors have to stand up and say anything?
Nope. We will welcome you personally and shake your hand, but never single you out publicly.
